Taking out the Trash: A Response to ones obsession with Animal Sex.

By Sami Zaatari & Umar

Assalamu Alaikum Wahrahmatullah Wabarakatuh

Bismillah Ir Rahmanir Raheem.... Praise be to Allah, who has sent his Apostle, the Best from among all Creation, Prophet Muhammad RasoolAllah Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam with Guidance and the Religion of Truth! The Muslims have always been under attack by the enemies of Islam. The Pagans of Makkah, the Christian Crusaders, and the Orientalists of the last century are just examples of such. Yet with all of their arguments, and all of their debates with Muslim scholars, there has risen one, who glad fully and boastfully names himself "Christian_prince". Why does this individual decide to call himself that is indeed beyond us, because neither does he represent the good Christians, nor does he have the manners of a ?Prince'.  Worst enough; his arguments are even being used by famous missionaries and anti-Islamists themselves, because they actually believe him! Not only does this individual rewrite Islamic history for himself, but he invents new things which are totally contrary to Islamic teachings, and represents them as part of Islamic beliefs and doctrine! One of these arguments is his alleged claim that Islam allows sexual intercourse with animals, even though the Qur'an clearly shows that one can only have intercourse with the opposite sex (for example, Sura 7 Ayat 81). Allah SWT also says clearly:

"Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males,

"And leave those whom God has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" (Sura 26 Ayat 165-166)

And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect. (Sura 30 Ayat 21)

(He is) the Creator of the heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle: by this means does He multiply you: there is nothing whatever like unto Him, and He is the One that hears and sees (all things). (Sura 42 Ayat 11)

In fact let us even quote Ibn Kathir's tafsir on one of the above verses (42,11). Ibn Kathir writes:

(The Creator of the heavens and the earth.) means, the Maker of them both and everything in between.

[ ]

(He has made for you mates from yourselves,) means, of your own kind. As a blessing and a favor from Him, He has made your kind male and female.

[ ]

So as you can see Allah made man and women for each other, not man for animal and animal for man to indulge in sexual intercourse. All other tafsirs say the same thing for these verses, which is that Allah created mates from ourselves meaning women with whom we marry and have sexual intercourse with.

Now let us see Christian prince's supposed proof that Islam allows animal sex.

He Writes:

Mohmad teaching Muslims how to have sex with animals and dead animals , women young girls , boys and all what Mohmad do care about is how to wash before you go to pray after a man have sex with or woman with dead animal

this is the hadith as its from SAUDIA ARABIA GOV ISLAMIC SITE in Arabic

the hadith translation to English

: Commentary of Imam Al-Nawawi on the Hadith

The saying of the prophet - peace be upon him- ?When he site  between a her fours legs!) mostly its home animal (shu'biha Al-arba) and  intercourse her then fatigues her'

In another narration the word ?Ashu'biha' is used. The scholars have disagreed about the intended meaning of ?shu'biha Al-arba' (the fours) for some said that it means the arms and the legs, while others have said that it refers to the legs and thighs, and other said it means the legs and the edge of the pubic area. Al-Qadi Ayad chose the meaning of the four areas surrounding the vagina. The word (Shu'b) means areas, its singular form being (Shu'bah). As for those who say (Ashba'iha) that is the plural of the word (Shu'b).

The word Aj-hada-ha (fatigue her) means to plow her, which was also stated by Al-Khatabi. Others have said it means to make her reach exhaustion as in the phrase ?she made him toil and labor till he was exhausted'. Al-Qadi Ayad - may Allah rest his soul- said ?Primarily, the word (Jahada'ha) means that the man exerted his effort working in a woman, where the word (Juh'd) means energy and refers to motion by describing the type of work. This is similar to his (the prophet) saying ?he who plowed her' meaning he who penetrated her by his motion. Otherwise, what other fatigue could a man experience because of her, and Allah knows best.

The meaning of the hadith is that the necessity to wash is not limited to when semen is ejaculated, rater it is when the penile head (Hash-fa, lit. "the head of the male member," i.e. head of the penis) penetrates the vagina, then it is necessary for the man and the woman to wash. There is no disagreement on this today, even though there was disagreement on this by some of the early companions and others later. However, an agreement was later reached and this is what we have shown and presented previously.

Our companions have said that if the penile head has penetrated A WOMAN'S ANUS, or A MAN'S ANUS, or AN ANIMAL'S VAGINA or ITS ANUS then it is necessary to wash whether the one being penetrated is alive OR DEAD, YOUNG OR OLD, whether it was done intentionally or absentmindedly, whether it was done willfully or forcefully. This also applies if the woman places the male member inside her while the man is asleep, whether the penis is erect or not, whether the penis is circumcised or uncircumcised. All these situations require that the person committing the act and the one the act is committed on must wash themselves, unless the person committing the act or the person the act is committed on is a young male or female. In that case it cannot be said that the person must wash, for they do not have the responsibility, rather it is said that this person is in a state of impurity. If that person can discern (the sexual act) then his guardian can command him to wash just as he commands him to perform the ablution washing for prayers. For if he prays without washing, his prayer has not been performed correctly; likewise if he doesn't wash after he reaches puberty he must be forced to wash. If he washed as a youth and then reaches puberty, then he does not have to repeat the washing.

Our companions have said that intercourse occurs when a healthy male's penile head completely penetrates (an orifice), as has been unanimously agreed. Thus, when the penile head has completely disappeared (inside the orifice), then all the regulations concerning washing apply. It is unanimously agreed that it is not necessary that the entire penile shaft penetrate to apply the regulations of washing. If part of the penile head penetrates, then the regulations of washing are not imposed as is agreed, except by an odd few of our companions who said that even in this case all the regulations of washing apply. However, this opinion is wrong, rejected and abandoned.  If the male member was severed and what remained was less than the length of the penile head, then none of the washing regulations apply. If the part remaining was equal in length to the penile head length then that part must completely penetrate for the regulation of washing to apply. If the part remaining was greater in length to the penile head length then there are two famous opinions for our companions. The most correct is that if the portion that penetrates is equal to the length of the penile head, then the regulations for washing apply. The other opinion is that none of the regulations for washing apply until the entire remaining length of the penile shaft completely penetrates and Allah knows best.

If a man wraps a sheath around his male member and then ejaculates inside a woman's vagina, then there are three opinions from our companions. The most famous is that the man must wash. The second is that he does not have to wash because he ejaculated inside the sheath. The third is that if the sheath is thick and prevents climax and wetness (in the vagina) then washing is not necessary, otherwise it is necessary and Allah knows best.

If a woman inserts (in her vagina) AN ANIMAL'S PENIS she must wash, and if she inserts A DETACHED PENIS (thakaran maktu-an, lit. "a severed male member"; a marital aid perhaps!?) there are two opinions; the most correct is that she must wash.

RESPONSE

Indeed such shady scholarship is inexcusable and one can see that Christian prince is blatantly lying. Now one may say if someone is wrong that doesn't mean they are lying, however so in this case it is not a matter of being right or wrong, it is clear distortion of what the text is saying.

For starters Christian prince above writes:

Mohmad teaching Muslims how to have sex with animals and dead animals , women young girls , boys

When one reads what Christian prince quotes one will see that it was NOT the Holy Prophet (S) who talked about sex with animals, or homosexuality, or sex with a corpse, in fact I re-produce that part of the text:

OUR COMPANIONS have said that if the penile head has penetrated A WOMAN'S ANUS, or A MAN'S ANUS, or AN ANIMAL'S VAGINA or ITS ANUS then it is necessary to wash whether the one being penetrated is alive OR DEAD, YOUNG OR OLD

So Christian prince is INTENTIONALLY lying when he claims that it is the Prophet Muhammad (S) talking about such things. The text clearly says it was the companions, how could Christian prince miss that part when it is so crystal clear?

Another lie that Christian prince makes is that he says the Prophet Muhammad (S) is teaching Muslims on how to have sex with animals an other men etc, as we already saw the Holy Prophet (S) was not the one talking about such acts but the companions were, secondly the companions being spoken of here are not the Sahabas though, the companions being spoken of here are the companions of Imam Nawawi, his students and fellow sheikhs. Thirdly the text shows nothing about teaching Muslims on how to have sex with other men or animals, that is another blatant lie. The texts are talking about men and women who conduct such acts; it is not teaching them on how to do it. From where did Christian prince get the idea that people were being taught on how to do it? In fact let us re-produce the text:

Our companions have said that if the penile head has penetrated A WOMAN'S ANUS, or A MAN'S ANUS, or AN ANIMAL'S VAGINA or ITS ANUS then it is necessary to wash whether the one being penetrated is alive OR DEAD, YOUNG OR OLD

Where is any mention of us being taught on how to have sex with animals and so on? The text is speaking of people who do such things.

Now last but not least yes people may find this text to be strange and so on, but it is a commentary of a hadith, and the commentary is simply giving rules on what people must do if they perform such a sick act, it is not condoning it. There is a difference between condoning such an act and giving rules as what one must do if they carry it out, the commentary is simply saying that one who does such disgusting acts must wash, whether they do it intentionally or not. In fact the topic of the commentary is said:

The meaning of the hadith is that the necessity to wash is not limited to when semen is ejaculated, rater it is when the penile head (Hash-fa, lit. "the head of the male member," i.e. head of the penis) penetrates the vagina, then it is necessary for the man and the woman to wash

The topic of the hadith is the washing up of a person after sexual intercourse or sexual penetration, and the commentary tells us about the companions of Imam Nawawi talking about this subject, and the companions were simply saying that a man and woman must wash and purify themselves after intercourse, which includes intercourse with another man, an animal, or a dead corpse. They are not condoning the act, they are just discussing the washing up of a person who commits such a heinous act, and once again the topic of the hadith was on washing and bathing after sexual intercourse.

Another very important thing, is Christian Prince's total ignorance of the hadith he cites himself, namely

The saying of the prophet - peace be upon him- ?When he site  between a her fours legs!) mostly its home animal (shu'biha Al-arba) and  intercourse her then fatigues her'

Firstly, nowhere in the Arabic, does the words in ?silver' above appear, it is Christian ?princes' own addition to the text, and secondly the hadith actually says:

Sahih al-Bukhari

Volume 1, Book 5, Number 290:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "When a man sits in between the four parts of a woman and did the sexual intercourse with her, bath becomes compulsory."

We ask, why Mr. Christian ?prince' did you forget this part of the text?? Is it because you were ignorant of the hadith in Bukhari?

Now what is the punishment of sex with an animal? Well if one is caught in the act or it is proven against that person then the penalty is death:

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: "The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: If anyone has sexual intercourse with an animal, kill him and kill it along with him. I (Ikrimah) said: I asked him (Ibn Abbas): What offence can be attributed to the animal? He replied: I think he (the Prophet) disapproved of its flesh being eaten when such a thing had been done to it.  (Translation of Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 38, Number 4449)

So the punishment of bestiality is death in Islam.

Further more even the scholars of Ahl Us Sunnah Wal Jammah say:

Shamaa il-Tirmidhi

021 : 124 : Hadith 002

Abu Bakrah radiyallahu anhu relates that, "Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam once said, :Must I show you a great sin, from among the greatest sins?" The sahaabah replied, "Yes O Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam, do tell us." Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam replied, "To ascribe a partner unto Allah. To disobey one's parents. To bare false witness, (or tell a lie). (The narrator is not sure which of the two Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam had said). At that time Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam was leaning on something. When he mentioned lies, he sat up, and because of its importance began to repeat it many times, till we began hoping that he would stop, and not repeat it so many times".

Commentary: The reason for the sahaabah radiyallhu anhum wishing that Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam should stop repeating it, is because of their love for Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallhu alaihe wasallam, and there fear that he would become tired. It is enough to say a thing once. It could be possible that he might have become angry, or that in anger, Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam might say something that would become a cause of loss to the ummah. Those who attend these type of religious or worldly assemblies are well aware of such situations. Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallhu alaihe wasallam repeated it to show its importance. Lies and falsehood inevitably gets a person involved in adultery, murder and many other sins. Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam also said, "When a person lies, the angels stay a distance of a mile away from him because odour it causes in person's mouth". He has also said, "A believer cannot be a liar". Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddique radiyallahu Anhu says, "Stay away from lies, because lies keep away Imaan." (Al-Itidaal) In this hadith the major sins are mentioned. In the shari'ah there are two types of sins. One is the minor sins, which are forgiven after performing wudu, sallah, saum, haj etc. The second is the major or greater sins. These are never forgiven without sincere taubah (repentance). Certainly if Allah wills He will forgive even the major sins through His Great Mercy. This is an exception, but the fundamental laws is that they are not forgiven without sincere taubah. The 'alama differ as to the count of major sins. Special books have been written on this subject. 'Allaamah Dha-habi has written a special treatise on this subject, wherein he has counted four hundred major sins. Allamah Ibn Hajar has also written a two volume book which has been printed in Egypt. He has mentioned all the major sins on every subject, like that of salaah, saum, zakaah, haj etc. He has counted four hundred and sixty seven sins major sins in detail. Mulla Ali Qarri has written the commentary of the Shamaa-il Tirmidhi, the common major sins as follows: To murder a person; adultery; homosexuality; the drinking of wine and other intoxicants; theft; falsely accusing a person; refusing to give evidence of a factual incident; take a false oath; unlawfully taking possession of another's wealth or belonging; running away from war against non-believers without a valid reason; dealing in interest; stealing an orphan's possessions; taking and giving bribes; disobeying parents; cutting of relationship with one's relatives; relating a false hadith; breaking fast in Ramdhaan (without a valid reason); cheating in measures and weights; performing a fardh salaah before or after its stipulated time; avoiding paying zakaah; hitting or ill-treating a Muslim or non-Muslim with whom an agreement has been made; accusing or talk ill of the Sahabah radiyallahu anhum; backbiting especially about an aalim or a haafiz of Qur'aan; telling tales (backbite) to an oppressor; being shameless and accept the prostitution or unlawful habits of one's wife or daughter's; pimping; abstaining from Amri-bin-ma;ruf Wan-nahyi anil munkar (commanding to do good, and prohibiting from committing evil), whilst having the strength and means to do so; practicing black-magic (sihr-jadu) and teaching to others; casting a spell (black-magic) on someone; learning the Qur'aan and forget it; burning a living thing without a valid reason; giving up hope of attending Allah's mercy; having a fear of His punishment; a woman disobeying her husband and without a valid refused to fulfill his desires. Mulla Ali Qaari has given the above examples of major sins in the Mazaahiri Haq, translation and commentary on Mishkaat a special chapter has been written in the beginning, wherein similar sins have been mentioned. It has also been stated there in that to ascribe a partner on to Allah, in whatever form, e.g. making a partner in praying to him; in seeking assistance; in knowledge; in his divine power and authority in creating; in calling (someone not present) for help; in naming; slaughtering; in offering a vow; or the handling over all such in matters to people instead of Allah; etc. The following are also included in the kitaab: To make an intention to persist in sinning; to consume intoxicants; marry one's mahram; gamble; keep friendship with non-Muslim; not to take part in Jihaad, whilst having the power to do so; eat the meat of a dead animal; have faith in an astrologer, and forecasts of soothsayers; criticise Sayyidina Rasulullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam and the malla-ikah, and to deny his (Sayyidina Rasulullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam's) prophethood and their (malaa-ikah's) existence; criticise the Sahabah radiyallahu anhum; cause a quarrel and fight between husband and wife; be wasteful; create rebellion, intrigue or mischief; appear mude before others (besides one's wife, or husband); be niggardly and stingy; not cleansing one's self from urine and sperm (i.e. if these fall onto the clothing and body and are not washed); disbelieve and refute taqdder (divine fore-ordainment); lower the trouser or lungi below the ankles in pride; lament (no-hah) a persons death; begin or invent a bad mode, thing or manner; be ungrateful to a benefactor; call a Muslim a disbeliever; have intercourse with a menstruating woman; become happy when food becomes scarce; commit a sexual act with an animal; look at a man with lust; peep or spy in another's house; degrade the Ulama or the Huffaaz of the Qur'aan; fail to treat all wives equally if one has more than wife; be unfaithful to amir or leader etc. The major sins also have their stages. That is why in the above Hadith only the main ones among the major sins are mentioned according to their circumstances. The Ulama have written that to keep on committing a (minor) sin, results in it becoming a major sin, and by repenting sincerely a major sin is forgiven. A sincere taubah is that, one should make a firm resolution that one shall not commit that sin again.

Thus, after looking at the above we ask:

Professionally, and Politely for Christian Prince, and his supporters who spread this false notion that Islam teaches sex with animals, to apologize for their tampering, mistranslating, and distortion of Islamic texts, and of the words of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad RasoolAllah Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam!

Prayers and Peace forever and Always upon the Best of Creation....Ameen!

And Indeed, Allah SWT Knows Best!
